Spend Halloween 2015 on the Water with River Expeditions
River Expeditions is thrilled to announce the continuation of their annual Halloween Party tradition! This year the celebration features 25% savings of whitewater rafting and lodging packages on the weekend of October 10th.
Halloween is a practice that many people look forward to celebrating with candy and costumes. This year, create a new fall tradition – a pre-Halloween celebration on the New River Gorge! River Expeditions’ Halloween celebration features 25% off whitewater rafting on the New and Gauley Rivers and onsite lodging. And of course, what Halloween celebration would be complete without a costume contest? So make sure to pack your spookiest (or silliest) costume!
“This is a great way to celebrate Halloween and the changing of the seasons in the New River Gorge” says Rick Johnson, President of River Expeditions. “We believe that guests absolutely enjoy the amenities we have to offer, including hot tubs and other warm activities, while also really getting into the Halloween spirit!”
The Adventure Resort located onsite at River Expeditions features lodging options ranging from a smooth spot to pitch your tent, to a luxurious mountain getaway cabin with all necessary amenities included. Within walking distance of all options, guests can access the pool, hot tub, dining areas, restrooms, and much more. Also onsite are the Fire Creek Lodge & Conference Center, Outfitters Store, Welcome Center, and the Red Dog River Saloon.
The New River is home to a variety of natural, cultural, and historical experiences; in addition to recreational opportunities. Guests have a number of different options for exploring the river, ranging from white water rafts, kayaks, jet boats, or even smaller “duckies”! The New River has two distinct sections – the Upper and the Lower. These different options mean that there is an easy trip for the new or nervous rafter (the Upper) or one filled with classic whitewater excitement and adrenaline (the Lower).
The Gauley River, otherwise known as “The Grand Canyon of the East” is one of the most beautiful and intense rafting trips in the continental United States – and beyond. This renowned river has been place 7th on the list of best white water rafting course in the world! However, one of the things that makes this trip truly unique is the breathtaking beauty of the New River Gorge and West Virginia. For the rafter who is looking to combine a relaxed atmosphere, exciting rafting, and unforgettable views, the Gauley River is an amazing (and almost hidden) gem of the Mid-Atlantic region.
