Spring 2017 in the New River Gorge
Spring has sprung! Well, almost. With hints of warm weather just around the corner, the time has arrived to start planning your spring schedule. If the New River Gorge is on your trip list, there are a few fun things you can plan to include on your weekend getaway when you’re in search of something a little drier to do 😉
To help you in your planning process, we’ve made a list of some of our favorite springtime events in the New River Gorge – and some great whitewater rafting specials that are going on too!
4/16, 11:30AM:
Easter bunnies and brunch? Count us in! If you’re ready to chow down on all of your brunch time favorites like bacon, waffles, and some delicious local cuisine that you might normally find a little later in the day, then this will definitely be your morning. Although we do recommend going on a lively hike through the New River Gorge to follow up such a morning 😉

4/22-4/23:
Sick and tired of studying for finals? We understand. And we also have the solution (get it? ha ha). 4/28-4/30:
If you’re looking for signs of spring, wildflowers are definitely a great indicator of what’s to come. On this wildflower weekend, take free guided tours with rangers in national parks in the region. There are tons of different tours to go on, covering a variety of flower and nature related topics, so make sure to pick out your favorites ahead of time!

5/27-5/28:
Celebrate the unofficial end of the springtime and say hello to beginning of summer with this long weekend in West Virginia. This special package includes a single day of New River rafting Saturday, Sunday, OR Monday, BBQ cookout after rafting, 3 nights camping and lite breakfast daily.
