Each year when Whitewater Rafting Season ends, things quiet down around the New River Gorge National Park. This downtime through late fall and winter allows the pursuit of rest and renewal, which we exclusively call our “Secret Season”.

Enjoy uncrowded shops and eateries around town, or peaceful hikes throughout the park. And if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can take a Bridge Walk Tour or visit nearby Winterplace Ski Area for skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. You’ve got options!
