Rafting is a great way to spend time with friends and family in an exhilarating way that connects guests with each other and with nature. However, it is important to choose a rafting trip that is an appropriate level of difficulty for all rafters. Sometimes friends are invited on rafting trips down the Upper Gauley River without realizing the difficulty and skill level of the river. Usually, this works out fine, with the staff just having to work a bit harder and adjust the route slightly for the sake of the safety and enjoyment of the least experienced rafter on the trip. While this still results in a fun and exciting trip, experienced rafters may have to sacrifice their chance to enjoy their rafting trip to the fullest.
