Located in close proximity to the New River Gorge National Park, Safari Tents are a convenient way for you to enjoy all the fun of camping, without all the hassle of packing a tent, setting it up and tearing it down. Built on solid wooden platforms surrounded by sturdy canvas, our safari-type tents have two sets of bunks with twin-size mattresses – bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.
Our safari tents are pet friendly, and your pet is sure to enjoy sleeping in the outdoors while camping with their family in West Virginia. We welcome pets as long as they do not disturb other guests and are kept on a leash at all times.
At River Expeditions Adventure Resort campground, you are within easy walking distance to our shower house and restrooms, dining area, outdoor pool and hot tub, Fire Creek Lodge and Conference Center, Outfitters Store, Red Dog River Saloon & Grill, and Welcome Center.
