Every day is an opportunity for new adventures, so what’s better than a day on the river? Two days on the river! Our multi-day package combines two exciting days of rafting and river adventures with three nights of basecamp lodging, allowing you to enjoy all the comfort and convenience River Expeditions has to offer.
This trip features rafting on the magnificent Upper New River, a playful and mild section of the New River Canyon. Here you can use our inflatable kayaks (called ‘duckies’) for even more fun on the water. After a great day on the river, head back to our basecamp for a hot shower, dip in the pool or hot tub, dinner, and a cold beverage. The next morning, you’ll take on the mighty Lower New River for the second day. Continental breakfast is available each morning, as well as complimentary beverages after rafting. Don’t forget to browse in the Outfitters Store before heading to the Red Dog River Saloon & Grill™ for camaraderie among friends.

What is Adventure Class?
Adventure Class Trips (min. age 12) are more challenging than Family Class Trips. These rafting in West Virginia trips are characterized by alternating pools and drops that create big, roller coaster-type waves and rapids. Adventure Class Trips are suitable for beginners and experienced rafters alike.
Small Raft Upgrades
River Expeditions offers raft upgrades for those that want a more riveting ride white water rafting the Gauley River WV. Smaller rafts provide higher performance and increased maneuverability. Experienced paddlers (that are also over the age of 18, in excellent health and calmly respond to adverse conditions) can choose smaller raft options — Wildside or Extreme Wildside— for a new perspective and extra adrenaline rush.
Sometimes, families or smaller groups like to choose a smaller raft in order to have a closer, more personal experience without the added thrill. When upgrading to a small raft, simply share your preference with us, and we’ll be happy to accommodate.
